We were instructed by our personal injury solicitor client to assess the loss of earnings of the Claimant who was diagnosed with mesothelioma two years previously.
The Claimant was a partner in a construction business and had contracted mesothelioma as a result of his exposure to asbestos whilst working for the Defendant in the 1970s. The Claimant's time spent at work was greatly reduced as he was increasingly off work due to his treatment and the medical prognosis was poor.
Our forensic accountancy report into the claimant's personal injury losses and pension loss was prepared on a lost years’ claim. The case ultimately went to Court and through our assessment of the Claimant's loss of earnings and pension the Claimant was awarded £275,000.
