UK motorists have celebrated a landmark victory with the government moving to cut rising insurance premiums by banning insurance companies from selling their customers’ details to solicitors.
After several months of pressure, some experts think that the average driver could potentially save up to £150 a year in insurance premiums.
Critics say that the fees, which can average £800 per claim, have contributed to a mounting increase in personal injury claims, leading insurers to increase premiums to cover their extra costs.
